Okay, so here are the pictures that I have been promising from last week. I promise that the cuteness factor will not disappoint you! The day after the 4th of July, Dan took the day off so he could get his driver's license and then we had a family day and went to the Splash Park that is about a mile away from our house.









Last weekend, our friend Bink came over and helped Dan fix his A/C on his car, as well as install a new toilet in the girls' bathroom/spare bathroom. Dan showed Hannah each stage of the process so that she could understand more about the toilet. She loves to see how things are put together!



Last Sunday, our friends Nils, Shannon, and Armani came over for a swim and to have lunch with us. They also brought over some of Armani's old toys. Armani's grandmother bought her a rocking chair/cradle and a toy chest from a store in Las Olas when Armani was 2 years old. Armani has now outgrown it but her mom knows she will want it in the future, so we get to help them store their treasure and get the bonus of using those items at the same time.




And this week our windows are being installed, which has made "playtime" very interesting. The girls playroom was taken away on Thursday due to the construction, then the living room was taken away on Friday. Until Friday afternoon, the girls and I had to play in their bedroom. We did have fun playing in our EXTREMELY clean playroom while everything was put back together again.



And 10 minutes after the room was assembled, the girls DESTROYED it in their usual fashion.

I have lots of cute pictures from the past week, but our house is in a little bit of a disarray due to having windows installed.

With that being said, I just received pictures through an email from my friend Lauren from the previous week. The girls and I attended the R.O.C.K. Camp send-off for South Florida.

This camp serves children and teenagers (ages 7-16) who are referred by pediatric oncology centers and private practices and are currently being treated for cancer or who have received cancer treatment. A full time volunteer staff includes resident pediatric oncologists and nursing personnel. It is awesome that kids who are fighting against cancer still get an opportunity to be kids and experience camp.

The day before camp send-off, the girls and I decorated signs saying "Have a R.O.C.K.ing time!". The girls wore their Relay shirts, Gryffyn's says "Cures Rule, Cancer Drools" and Hannah's says "Future Oncologist". The send-off had 7 kids, with their families, ACS employees and a few sponsors like Cupcakes from Heaven and Chick-Fil-A. Here are the pictures that one of the ACS employees took...

This weekend was so much fun! The actual weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) was leisurely with Dan going to see Transformers and the girls and I decorating the wagon for the 4th of July. The girls also entertained us by doing a fashion show of hats. Hannah wearing Grandpa's hat (this was Dan's dad).

We also made a 4th of July inspired dessert. It was strawberries with melted white chocolate and blue sugar....Yummy!

Monday morning Daniel ran in a Triathlon at Trade Winds Park in Coral Springs, FL. It is a little south of where we live, so Daniel went early in the morning to get everything ready for what he needed and the girls and I followed to be his cheering section during the bike and running portions. We never make it in time for the swimming. Since his swimming is usually under 6 minutes, I think that by the time we figured out where he was he would be done with that portion. He did a great job and shaved some time off of his previous triathlon. He also got to break in some new shoes with this race.

The girls loved hanging out and cheering "Go Daddy Go", after he had already pasted us and enjoyed the snacks I packed for our mini morning adventure.
Our friends Bink and Kristin also raced and they did an awesome job! I love how Bink supports Auburn even during Triathlons!


This afternoon (after long naps for everyone), we went to our Neighborhood Block Party. This tradition has been going on for over 30 years and it was a blast to be a part of it this year. Our Neighborhood does not have an HOA (Homeowners Association), we have a HOSA (Homeowners Social Association). This means that each family pays $15 a year to fund our social functions like 4th of July and Christmas Party. The hamburgers and hotdogs were provided and each family brought a side dish or appetizer. We took Pizza Dip, which was a huge success.

They also had lots of entertaining activities like hula hoop contest, bubbles, slip and slide, doughnut eating contest, line dancing, greased watermelon relay, and water balloon toss. Uncle Sam blessed us with his presence while balancing on stilts during the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance.


This is Brooke, the girls new babysitter. She lives on the next block and couldn't wait for the girls to finish eating so she could dance with them and show them how to hula hoop.
