Our story time at the Palm Beach Gardens Library is so much fun and we LOVE Miss Marianne! She is so animated and really seems to enjoy reading the stories to the kids.

The last Wednesday of every month is Mommy and Me at Downtown at the Gardens (local outdoor mall) hosted by MacaroniKid. We love this time! We headed over to Mommy and Me time after our story time at the library. The girls had so much fun playing with the homemade bubbles, riding on the carousal, and getting balloons especially made for them.

After much-needed naps, we went to play kickball that night. One of Daniel's good friends from his master's swim team, Winston, plays kickball every Wednesday. He has 5 girls on his team and 2 of them are injured AND 4 are required to play so the team doesn't forfeit. This meant that I played kickball, which was really funny due to my lack and hand-eye coordination, but the team was happy to have a warm body on the field. Also, the girls loved playing in the dirt, and cheering on momma--even when it wasn't my turn to play.

Thursday we celebrated Gryffyn's 2nd birthday with her classmates. This was her last day in Miss Lydia's class because of the age difference. I loved her Minnie Mouse cake and think it fitted her perfectly!

We also had fun that night after the party. Uncle David and Aunt B sent Gryffyn her birthday presentS and they were so much fun! Lots of play MOOSEtaches, a hot pink tutu, ladybugs galore, and other fun items that kept us entertained all night. Uncle JoshA also sent us the new Muppet Movie, which was HILARIOUS!

Friday night we attended Lake Park's Sunset Celebration to support Relay for Life's Lake Park that is being held in April. We got lots of information out there to the public and had fun hanging out.

Gryffyn's 2nd birthday fell on a Saturday this year. She woke up from her nap with a nice surprise...tons of balloons and she had a blast with them the rest of the day!

This morning marked the beginning of Hannah's dance class called "Leaps and Bounds". It was held at the community center and Hannah had so much fun. I can't wait to see what all she learns.

Fire House Tour

This morning our family went to Station #61 Fire House located in Palm Beach Gardens. We went with a mommy group that I'm a part of to benefit our Relay for Life team "Momma's for a Cure". It was a great opportunity for us to have fun with our kids while FUNdraising.

The Fire station on Burns Road and the guys that work there are absolutely amazing! They answered tons of questions and told us why the fire trucks are not red (like what I remember growing up), and OUR fire station has Garden Green paint made especially for their station. It is because of the fog and rain during hurricane season and Garden Green makes the trucks more easily visible. It is so popular that Miami area has adopted the color for their trucks.

The firefighters took their time showing us all of the station, where they hang out during down time, their bunker during bad weather (when they are required to be on call), and try on some of their equipment.
