Failure...taking to long to post

Yes, everyone...I do realize I am a failure and I have not being posting blogs as much as I should have been doing. I am sorry and hope you will accept my sincere apologizes! I am very surprised that I have not been yelled at by a certain New Yorker through email...and yes, that is possible. I know because it has happened before.

Anyway, to make up for my lack of posting, I have included many pictures....
Hannah rocking her new shades and hat on June 16th.
Hannah getting a little too excited over her pack'n'play and making it fall on top of her. It looks like she is playing "peek-a-boo"!

June 19th-21st Dan and I went to New Orleans to go tubing with our friends John and Yisel. Before the trip took place, Hannah and I drove to Birmingham June 17th to visit my folks. They were kind enough to watch Hannah while Dan and I had a weekend away. It was so much fun, but I sure missed my baby girl. The good thing is that she got plenty spoiled and my family seemed to enjoy themselves too! Here are a few pictures that my mother took...

Hannah's highchair at my parents' house
Hannah doing schooltime. We purchased "Baby Can Read" and play the videos for her twice a day. She really seems to like them and pays close attention!
I think Uncle Joshua was getting a few pointers from the video!
Uncle Joshua rewarded Hannah's schooltime performance with one of his favorite movies...The Jungle Book!
Discussing the plot line
Aunt Sherrell got to meet Hannah for the first time and just loved Hannah's new outfit!
Hannah really loved the present Aunt Sherrell bought her: a pink luggage piece!

Me sewing together the cloth diapers to make burp rags for Kristin's new daughter, Claire. I think my mother might have teared up when she saw me get the hang of the sewing machine!

And then back in Memphis....

I wish I could have caught this on video...I don't know why we didn't think of it! Hannah was just a kicking as fast as she could!
This is me blowing in Hannah's face before I dunk her underwater. She was really good at taking a big breath in, and once she went underwater, her legs started kicking so fast! I am so ready to see how swim class is and for us to learn more tricks!
The trivia crew (minus Andy)--Tom, Mary, Kenneth, Dan, Jason, David, Brandy, Robin, Ian, and myself. We decided to enjoy the trivia at each other's houses this summer. Still get together once a week, drink, and try to guess trivia answers...but more on the relaxed side (pool time for Brandy and me, plus Hannah gets to join in).
Hannah got tired of everyone ignoring her answers to the trivia questions, so she just decided to go to sleep...maybe next time sweetie!

The two videos below are Hannah trying to crawl yesterday afternoon.

Weekend in Review

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I know ours was way too SHORT! News from the Weinberg family....

After having lunch with Daniel and the Barkers (Kyle, Holly, Eva, Grayden), Hannah and I went to visit Hannah's future playmate on Friday. Our friends Michael and Kirstin Dickerson welcomed Claire Anne on Wednesday June 10th at Baptist Memorial. We went to visit them and Hannah took Claire a copy of one of her favorite books, "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed".

Majority of the weekend it rained, and then it rained some more. Thankfully Daniel was still able to christian his new grill by cooking out for us and the Dobkins (Jonathan, Trista, and Tad) on Saturday night. Daniel made some really awesome Turkey burgers and grilled brauts for the first time. I was a big fan!

Sunday started off kinda lazy since it was storming so badly, but Hannah did get to have some fun playing time with Oliver. He is really an awesome dog and lets her reach out to pet his leg whenever she feels adventurous enough...which is all the time!
Daniel also finished my bookshelves! Yay! For those of you who don't know...I absolutely loath the wire shelves that builders insist on using in the closets of new homes! We have decided to use the closet in the Recreation Room as my Scrapbook Room. So Daniel took the wire shelves in the back of the closet down and built new wooden shelves for me. Eventually I will have a desk in there so I can work on scrapbooks while Hannah plays. You can see I have started putting some books on the top two shelves, but the bottom three will be dedicated to organizing my scrapbooking material. I can't wait to get started on my next scrapbook! Thanks Daniel!

Happy Birthday Mamaw!

Hello everyone! First I have to say...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMAW!!!

Now, on to the rest of the blog...

Hannah is still attempting to crawl. I think she might have started crawling on Monday and we have it recorded, but it doesn't want to post. (Have been attempting to post for 6 hours!)

She is not at the full out crawl mode where Daniel and I have to worry, but she is working on moving herself forward.

In other news, I just finished a project for one of my mother's friends. A lady that works with my mother gave us this sweet plaque ("Little Princess") when Hannah was born. She has just found out that she will soon have another grandchild (a boy!). All the father wants is a nursery in the theme of Auburn Tigers. Now you know Daniel and I can definitely get behind those feelings since we both graduated from Auburn University and our hoping Hannah will be a future Auburn Tiger.

So when my mother told me about the theme of the nursery, she and I started brainstorming ideas on gifts. Sadly, I cannot take credit on this gift idea. Crafty Peggy remembered the letters I have going up the stairs in our house (spell out "Weinberg" in polka dots) and suggested that I buy letters that spell "War Eagle" and decorate them. Here they are completed...

First (Almost) Playdate/Lunch

Hannah had her first playdate/lunch today with not one other baby, but TWO!!! Hannah is such a lucky girl! We had to get ready for the lunch today kinda early because we had to go shopping before our lunch date. Since we had to get ready so early, Hannah ended up having three outfit changes (lots of spit up on the other two). I think Hannah was just trying to tell me that she really wanted to wear pink today!
Hannah getting ready. It looks like she is tying her shoe!

We had lunch at Thai Bistro in Cordova with Kyle, Holly, Eva, and Grayden Barker. Kyle works with Daniel at Shelby Systems. Eva and Grayden joined the Barker family three weeks before Hannah was born on November 30, 2008.

It seems like the lunch was a hit! Grayden charmed his way to Hannah's heart from the first smile! And once Eva woke up, Hannah had her smiling every time she jumped on my lap.

Grayden and Kyle
The three cutest babies in Memphis!

I will be honest that I am kinda jealous of the twins' outfits! Everyone knows that I call Hannah my little monkey after the first stuffed animal she received in the hospital (Thanks Brandy)...well, the twins had cute little monkeys on their outfits!
I think all in all it was a success! I can't wait to see the three of them playing together again!

In other news, we went shopping before the lunch at Babies R Us because they were having a sale on the baby swimwear and Hannah needed a swimsuit for next month when she gets to take swim lessons at the YMCA.
