This past Saturday (April 17, 2010) was the 28th Annual Youth Villages 5K Race here in Memphis. It was the second year Hannah and I volunteered, and the first year for Gryffyn (for obvious reasons).
We began volunteering because of our friend's (the girls "Aunt B") involvement and organization of the kid's tent for the past nine years. This seemed like such an important event to her, that we just had to help support the cause!

Hannah exhausted after the day. She had her face painted (pink butterfly) and became a deputy sheriff of Shelby County (badge she is chewing on).
Today (April 22, 2010), Hannah turned 16 months. Daniel and I decided that she needed to start earning her keep around the house. She is now in charge of helping Daniel feed the dogs at night, while I feed them in the morning before she wakes up. Hannah seemed up to the task...

In Gryffyn news...we have scheduled her appointment for her one month checkup in two weeks and we will find out if/how much she has gained. She weighed less than Hannah when she was born, which made Daniel and I nervous because she seems so fragile (to us at least). I know that she has gained weight, because she can now fit into some of Hannah's newborn clothes. This is a huge accomplishment because it means (after we get the ok from the doctor), Gryffyn can start letting us know when she is hungry instead of us forcing her to wake up every few hours.

Also...Hannah looking through her completed book of family. Since most of our family lives in other areas, we made a book for Hannah with individual pictures of members of the family so she can start learning their names and faces. We think this will make it easier for her when we go to visit those family members.
