On the 23rd of December, we flew to Birmingham, AL to visit my family for Christmas. We had to fly from West Palm Beach, FL to Atlanta, GA...for a two hour layover and then fly to Birmingham, AL. The girls were awesome during both flights!

Before the flight to Birmingham, AL from Atlanta, GA, the girls changed into their jammies. We didn't land until 10:30PM, so we figured that they should be as comfy as possible. Hannah was so proud that she had her own "big girl" seat that I just had to take a picture. Right after the picture was taken, the flight attendant insisted that I hold Hannah during the flight in my lap even though we had purchased a ticket for her. I was fine to hold her, even though I didn't understand since we had bought her a separate ticket, but what broke my heart is that Hannah cried when she couldn't sit in her "big girl" seat. All in all the visit with her grandparents made up for the misunderstanding with the flight attendant.
We had a great birthday breakfast on the morning of the 24th with Dearie, Papa, and Uncle Joshua to celebrate Hannah's 2nd birthday. We had strawberry pancakes and Hannah got some awesome presents. Dearie and Papa gave Hannah a pink camera because she has been obsessed with taking pictures lately. Uncle Joshua got her the most annoying present ever....a singing barn. It doesn't stop singing!
Christmas Eve Night we went over to my grandparents' house (Mamaw and Papaw) and had a wonderful meal with my mom's side of the family, which included Uncle W.H., my cousin Liesa and her husband Billy, my Aunt Karen and Uncle Ken, my cousin Kacey and his girlfriend Vickie. Everyone had a great time visiting and catching up on the past year. I got lots of great advice from my Uncle Ken, who inspects homes, on our future purchase here in Florida. Dan and I barely got to hold either of the girls because people were fighting over who got to cuddle with them. We had to break up the party a little earlier then usual due to two little girls having to get in bed before Santa arrived at their Dearie and Papa's house.
And boy oh boy, did Santa deliver or what? It looked like Santa's workshop had exploded in my parents' living room on Christmas morning! Oh course all Hannah wanted to play with was the tubberware container.

We left Birmingham on the 26th due to Dan having to be at work on the 27th. Due to the "snow" in Birmingham and Atlanta, our flight kept getting delayed. So we waited...

and waited...

and waited...

and then we finally got to Atlanta, GA where we missed our flight by 30 minutes and had to get re-routed. Thankfully our kids are EXTREMELY cute and a Delta employee took pity on us standing in the long line of people trying to change there flights due to missed connections. He re-routed our flight very quickly (for the next morning), made reservations for a hotel, and re-routed our luggage to our new flight.

and the girls remained happy...WE ARE SO LUCKY!
After our "interesting" flight back, we decided to lay low and let everyone recover from the holidays, except Dan who had to work. Dan did not have to work New Year's Eve Day (Friday) so we spent our 4 year anniversary with the girls enjoying life in South Florida. We went to Mellow Mushroom to enjoy some pizza outside on the patio (because it was 76 degrees) and then we went to the park and the beach.

One's anniversary and New Year's Eve is much different after having kids, but this one was still pretty darn awesome!
I'll end with a new year wonderment. I know that Vampire Movies are extremely popular, but Gryffyn's new fangs are a little bit of an overkill, don't you think?
