IKEA weekend

This past weekend was LLLLLLOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGG...but fun! The Weinbergs went with the Calhouns to Atlanta, GA in hopes of finding some furniture at IKEA. We left Friday afternoon and didn't get to Atlanta until pretty late at night, so we all just lounged around being happy that we weren't in a car anymore. It was a pretty entertaining evening watching Brandy try to get Hannah to say "Aunt B". But all Hannah was interested in was saying "BobBobBob" over and over again.

Saturday morning, we hit the IKEA store and wow, was it awesome! We spent over 4 hours at the showroom, plus warehouse trying to make our selections. Our family found an entertainment center for the Rec Room upstairs, plus a chair, ottoman, and changing table/small bookcase for Hannah's room. All in all, I think it was a success! After IKEA, we educated the Calhouns on the awesomeness of Sweet Tomatoes restaurant. Sweet Tomatoes was our favorite place to go on Saturdays when we lived in Fort Lauderdale. It has a salad buffet, wide selection of soups, and a variety of pastas and desserts.

After such a long trip of shopping and then gorging at Sweet Tomatoes, do you think we went out clubbing in Atlanta that night? The answer is NO...especially since we had a 14 month old with us and one of the adults is currently 32 weeks pregnant. So we headed back to the hotel to hang out and be entertained by the 14 month old...and she did a pretty good job.
Weinbergs lounging (I took the phrase quite literally.)

Who was Dan talking to? No one. He was trying to get Hannah to say hello.

Hannah trying to understand how to fold sunglasses.

Hannah digging in Aunt B's purse for treasures.

After such a long weekend of shopping and driving, Hannah and I had a pretty exhausting Monday. We returned the U-haul trailer, went grocery shopping, visited the doctor's office, and picked up the dogs from the kennel...but at least we didn't have to go to work like everyone else.

We decided to chill at home today, because of being exhausted after the last few adventurous days and Hannah having a runny nose. Dan joined Hannah for a viewing of "Kipper" on PBS Sprout tonight. This is Hannah's favorite show to watch before bath and bedtime...seems like Dan was a little exhausted too!
