It FINALLY got cold in South Florida on the 5th of January! It was 54 degrees out that Thursday morning. Of course as I write this, it is January 13th and it is 77 degrees out. BUT for that one day it was cold enough to wear cute long sleeve dresses with turtlenecks underneath.
Next day is was warm enough, and fun enough to wear our dress up clothes. We have had so much fun dressing up and using our Pretend Closet that holds those dress clothes.
This past Monday our local library started up the winter session of storytime. It's an 8 week long session, and we have so much fun singing, dancing, and listening to our librarian, Ms. Sue, tell stories related to the theme of the week. This week's theme was stars. The girls made pictures with stars on them telling what they wished for. Gryffyn wished for Eeyore (because she left him in the car during storytime) and Hannah wished for a cookie (we went to Publix grocery store after storytime).
The public schools didn't start back in session until Tuesday, the 10th, so the girls were able to play with our neighbors outside right after we woke up from naps Monday afternoon.
These next two pictures have nothing to do with storytime or playing on the cool cars that Dearie and Papa bought for the girls, but it is too funny not to include. I came home from working out the other night to find Atticus extremely relaxed and couldn't resist taking a picture. I can't believe he is 8 years old!
Today we switched out the girls beds so that Gryffyn is in a big girl bed--she tried to climb out of her bed last night! Also, she sleeps in a big girl bed at Dearie and Papa's house, so I think she is ready for the challenge!
