It only took my four years to establish that I am not the most organized and up-to-date mother, and I think that is something to be proud of. The fact that I am posting pictures from January 2013 in June is exhibit A on the organization qualities that I might hold. I only apologize to my grandmother, Mamaw, because I know how much she enjoys seeing the girls grow. I might owe her a trip soon because of my lack of pictures posted in the past few months.
With that being said, January (picture-wise) was not that eventful. A Mellow Mushroom opened closer to our house, about 15 miles away in West Palm Beach. I think the girls liked the statues outside the restaurant more then anything else.
Last year, Hannah was given a bike by our friend Shannon and her daughter Armani. Armani is a few years older than our girls and we benefit from her hand-me-downs. Hannah had a huge growth spurt these past months and her legs got too long for Armani's old bike. Hannah was excited to pick out her own bike during one of our date days and then ride to the park.
Girls are still enjoying the creative plates their Aunt B and Uncle David got them for Christmas, but it is keeping me on my toes...especially when Gryffyn says "you did that one already!"
Early January I messed my foot up real good by having a stress fracture on my right foot/leg. It meant no Disney Princess Half-Marathon, but hopefully I can get back into training. The doctor put my in the lovely contraption featured below with crutches...that lasted about a week with a 4 year old and 2 1/2 year old under foot (literally). He kindly switched me to a walking boot for the remainder of the time.
Last night of January, Relay For Life of the Northern Palm Beaches had our first ever Team Party/Bowling Fundraiser! It was such a blast to join together to have fun while fundraising for a great cause! I was not able to bowl because of my leg, but I did enjoy taking pictures of everyone.
